Jackson has just released its upcoming lineup for October 2017, which includes six brand new models – along with a bunch of wood/finish additions. The X-Series seems to be the focus of most of their efforts at the moment with 5 new additions. The last being a 7-string Pro Series Soloist.
Jackson has made every effort to stay on top of trends in the progressive / metal genres, building more 7 and 8 string guitars and releasing multi-scaled versions as well. This is the area that’s seen a lot of smaller boutique companies gaining more sales, but they tend to be quite expensive.
